You may ask, “What does a coach do for me?”
Accountability: Just knowing that someone is holding you accountable to be the best version of you that you can be is a very powerful attribute. Knowing that someone will be holding you accountable to what you want helps you get there quicker without the inner chatter of excuses and justification. Your coach won’t let you off the hook when you don’t do what you said you wanted to do. For many clients, this attribute consistently helps them get through to their blockage to achieve the results that they want.
Identify Emotional Blockage: This is connected to the first attribute, accountability. When you are not completing the tasks that you outlined to get to your goals on a chronic and repeated behavior, your coach will not only call you on that, but will also sense if you are experiencing an emotional block. This blockage may be the linchpin that once released may provide you with the insight to why you’ve been “stuck” in the same place for years on end.
Aware of Your Blind Spot: Your blind side is usually the thing that has continually prevented you from being all you can be and achieving the results that you’ve dreamed of in your life and business. I’ve provided a graph below that illustrates what I”m about to explain. Simply put, if this round circle below represents the whole of all of the knowledge of the world and out of that knowledge, that very thin wedge represents all that you know. Then that second slightly larger wedge represents all of what you know that you don’t know. Lastly, all of the rest of the space, representing 99.9% of all of the knowledge in the world is in the category of what you don’t know that you don’t know! This is where your blind spot resides and this is why you can’t see it yourself, “it’s what you don’t know that you don’t know” how could you be aware of it? But that’s why you have a coach, to point out what is preventing you of achieving what you want because you don’t see what your coach is seeing.
Loyal Advisor & Confidant: Many times it’s hard to explain to someone what you are going through within yourself and as your coach we become your sounding board. Allowing you to talk it out of you, the issue that you can’t quite put into works at first, but through the opportunity of having your coach be in the listening, can be invaluable to sorting out your sticking points. Also, knowing you have a discrete advisor always in your corner is a powerful respectful ally, without any agenda except your achievement, is a great support system.
Oversee & Direct Achievement Process: Critical to your achievement as an individual or as a team. This part is the process that we take you through is to coax out of you, your solutions, goals, purpose statements and top core desires; all the information that is stored within you, to make it accessible to your conscious brain and place it in the proper order that will benefit you. This is the part that helps you clarify what you want personally and professionally. Only when you have this sense of clarity can you now have a clear target to reach with a date to match.
